Malaysia~~~ my country~~

Not many countries can boast the cultural diversity that Malaysia has. We are blessed with a diversity of talents, while geology and geography have provided us with great natural resources. We are a lucky country. Malaysians should be thankful for what we have. Compared to other nations in the region with a similar ethnic configuration, our progress has been relatively peaceful and prosperous. Our journey as a nation has admittedly not always been smooth. Many times we have quarreled, but we have stuck together through it all. It says much for us that we want to be known as Malaysians - albeit of different races, cultures and religions.


I need hardly say that Malaysia enjoys a sound stable Government with the Alliance Party in power. The economy is healthy and with every good prospect of still higher standards of living for our people. This Government is able to give our citizens a sense of living in security and enjoyment of a life and prosperity second tone in Asia.

To sum it all up there is a place in the sun for everyone in Malaysia. Whatever harsh judgments other parties may make about us, we are proud to say that we have made progress. We have delivered the goods to our people. All people must feel that there is room for them in our country and that we can all live in peace with one another, provided of course that we respect one another’s rights, and provided, too, that we realise we owe duties to one another for the good and well-being, the progress and happiness of our country, Malaysia.
